One of the most beautiful stands
of the festival

Thanks to all our sponsors and volunteers

The chosen theme for the stand was "bio-diversity" with a jungle atmosphere, illustrating what could be lost if the Amazon Forest is to disappear. Visitors could sponsor the plantation of trees in the Amazon, view live animals, buy Surui arts and crafts, discuss with any of the Surui delegation members, undergo body painting or buy "Plant a tree" T-shirts.

The stand was full until 2am during the whole festival.

We welcomed an average of 660 people per hour. They could buy Surui arts & crafts ...

Aquaverde member, Hilde Hintermann supervising arts & crafts sales.

The public could enjoy the animals provided by Naturalist and Aquaverde member, Louis Champod.

Vivariums with live snakes, lizards and spiders similar to what you would find in the Amazon Forest. Here with Chief Almir's 11 year old daughter, Walelasoetxaige.

The corner configuration of the stand allowed us to create a flowing pathway for visitors.

Visitors could experience Surui ritual body painting with genipapo, a black vegetal dye which goes away after a few weeks. These particular designs are drawn to express an alliance between people.

The stylish furniture was graciously lent to us by the Geneva shop "L'enfer Vert".

Special thanks to Jurgen Vogel, responsible for the Aquaverde stand operation.
