« Only when the last tree
has been cut down,
only after the last river
has been poisoned,
only after the last fish
has been caught,
only then will you find that money cannot

118 trees planted
|
under the sign of the Tree and the forest
Every year the St François school in Roncq (north of France) organises a sport event in a spirit of sharing and overture in relation with the pedagogical theme of the 2005 school year: the tree and the forest.
|
The Aquaverde/ANDA project, oriented towards durable development of local pouplations and their environment naturally caught our attention.
|
On the 2nd of April 2005, a wonderfull sun shown over the numerous participants: 243 children of maternal and elementary grades as well as 23 adults (mostly parents) gave all thay could in a variety of games and courses proposed around the forest theme, with a great enthousiasme, encouragements and laughter...
|
Each participant had to be sponsored by his relations, family, friend, neighbour... Each class, according to the sum collected, adopted its trees in Amazonia ( from 5 to 28 trees per class!).
|
This event allowed us to gather a sum enabeling the school to foster the planation of 118 trees.
The certificates thrones on the walls of each class. we hope that what has been planted becomes very, very big... and fertile for ever!.
